A client company engaged CSA to find a senior national account manager to help grow their Walmart business. We had the résumé of a candidate who looked like a fantastic fit based on her background. But listening to the candidate describe what she was looking for, we realized the candidate was clearly not a match for the opportunity or the company.

Our recruiter learned later that another recruiting firm presented that same candidate and the company hired that person. We were disappointed and confused. Fast forward: after working 3 months, the candidate left the company because it wasn’t the right fit.
